Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi Device Hub Gets Outdoor Weather Kit, Shield Pro
Cresskill, NJ – December 6, 2024 – As part of Bond’s recent expansion into the outdoors by way of new products and partnerships, the brand announces the addition of Shield Pro to its lineup. Made by Bond, Shield Pro is a weatherproof kit for housing the Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi device hub outside, closer in proximity to outdoor motorized screens, shades, pergolas, heating and cooling systems, and more. The Bridge and accompanying Bond Home App provide intuitive, consolidated control of these appliances, and for additional convenience can be integrated with virtual assistant applications (Alexa, Google, etc.) and home automation platforms.
These types of appliances are often large aluminum structures that can limit the reception range of motors and fans installed within them. IP67-rated, Shield Pro now makes for protected installation of the Bridge outdoors. The housing’s plastic construction does not interfere with RF signals, ensuring the Bridge’s 3,500 sq. foot range in any installation, regardless of the size or material of the structures.Shield Pro is designed for easy, on-site installation. The 8.5” x 7.2” x 2.6” enclosure incorporates convenient “knockout” holes with weatherproof glands, which eliminate the need for the installer to crimp CAT 5 wire. MSRP is set at $299 (mounting brackets are include). Dealers can purchase directly at www.bondhome.io.
Shield Pro is the latest component in Bond’s expansion into the outdoors. Earlier this year the brand introduced their Breeze Pro wind/rain/sunlight smart sensor and Firefly One outdoor low voltage lighting smart dimmer and put in play partnerships with outdoor pergola company Equinox, Sol-Lux awnings, Infratech heating, and more.
