Enter, the Netherlands – April 8, 2025 – Coulisse is proud to announce that Motionblinds, its smart shading brand, is now officially integrated with Home Assistant, the world’s leading open-source smart home platform. With this launch, Motionblinds becomes the first smart shading brand certified under the “Works with Home Assistant” program, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of connected window coverings.
Seamless Smart Home Integration
Home Assistant allows users to automate and control their smart devices locally – offering privacy and reliability. With this new integration, Motionblinds smart motors can now seamlessly connect with the Home Assistant ecosystem, enabling users to create intelligent automations involving lighting, temperature, and security. From shades adjusting with the sunrise to responding to heat or occupancy, Motionblinds enhances the home environment with effortless, intelligent motion.
Built for Flexibility and Performance
The integration supports a wide range of Motionblinds solutions, including smart motors for roller and roman shades, honeycomb and pleated shades, venetian and vertical blinds, and curtains. Eve Motionblinds motors with built-in Matter and Thread, developed by Coulisse in collaboration with Eve Systems, connect directly to Home Assistant. Motors with Bluetooth and 433MHz technology are supported through the new Motionblinds Matter Bridge (CM-55), ensuring seamless compatibility across the full product range.

All certified Motionblinds motors have been tested to meet Home Assistant’s rigorous standards for local performance, interoperability, and long-term support. This partnership reflects a shared commitment between Coulisse and the Home Assistant community to create an open, secure, and user-centric smart home experience.
