Cresskill, NJ – November 12, 2023 – Bond today announced that Draper at Home roller shades (powered by Somfy) are now compatible with their Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi device hub and Sidekick for Shades Gen2 wireless universal keypad. The Bond solutions are increasingly becoming recognized as the preferred way to bring smart control to motorized window shades, drapery, and screens and this compatibility makes for greater integration of Draper at Home into home control/automation systems. The two companies are excited to share this news at the upcoming Metro-NY (11.14/16) and Austin, TX (12.5) CEDIA Tech Summit exhibits. The Bond Bridge Pro ($379 MSRP) and accompanying Bond Home App (iOS and Android phones) bring intuitive and integrated control of up to fifty motorized window shades (ceiling fans and gas fireplaces too) in a 3,500 sq. ft. home. The App adds new capabilities such as scheduling plus integration with leading voice control and home automation systems. This includes Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings Apps and Crestron, Savant, Control4, Josh.ai, Nice, RTI, URC and Homebridge automation.
Configuring the Bond Home App is easy – the installer simply selects Draper At Home during setup and follows the prompts. The App provides direct access to Bond’s 24/7 customer service, ensuring seamless installation and use experiences. Additionally, Bond and Draper provide training on the Bridge and Keypad. Bond’s Sidekick for Shades Gen2 ($99 MSRP) is a wireless, flush-mount, battery-powered keypad that communicates directly via RF with a wide universe of shades including Draper At Home. By itself, the keypad has an impressive range of 2,000 square feet. When mated with the Bond Bridge Pro, the keypad’s range increases to the Bridge’s 3500 SF, and when the two are integrated into a home automation system, the system can depict status of the shade’s operation. “2-in-1”, the keypad ships with interchangeable 5- and 1-channel button pads; a decora faceplate (attaches to wall or control box), and 10-year replaceable coin cell battery.
